Lisa'sbirthday was this past Wednesday and she turned 28. That's old! She's steadily closing in on 30. Although she had already gotten her "big gift" (an eliptical) there were plenty of surprises in store.

Here's Lisa with her gifts and her glowing nuclear cake.
She was sooo excited to see that her collection of old films was getting started with North By Northwest.
And of course, what would a birthday be without lighting a cake on fire....we've got some weird traditions, don't we? As you can see 28 candles would have been too much for Lisa's old lungs to blow out. So we put two on the left and eight on the right.
All in all we had a good time celebrating Lisa's birthday. We got to eat at Carrabba's, which is a little Italian restaraunt kinda like Olive Garden, Lisa got to go shopping at the nice mall, and we had some good cake with minimal wax candle drippings.
