Bathroom Remodel

We finally are done remodeling....well, with what we've already started anyway! The master bathroom is finally complete! The kitchen is basically there with the exception of a little molding to go around the bottom of the cabinets. Here is the progression of the bathroom from start to finish!

Tearing out the floor was a nightmare! There was an inch of concrete underneath the tile. The old tub was a big fiberglass concoction and we ended up tearing it down the the subfloor and the studs.

New sheet rock on the walls and the floor.

The new master bath! New tile, new floors, new tub, new toilet, new paint. It's gorgeous!

The new vanity. It sure took a lot of time and a lot of sweat. Also it took a LOT of trips to Home Depot and Lowes, but we are glad that we took the time to do it because the rewards of having it done are great!

Kitchen cabinet remodel

We also remodeled some of the kitchen. The bottom cabinets were basically useless so we decided to change them out for some new ones. The top cabinets will eventually get their turn.

No more kitchen cabinets; however, there was some nice mold.

Rob installing the new cabinets. We got unfinished oak cabinets and stained them ourselves. We did keep the old counter tops because they were new with the house and in great condition still.

Tight Britches Altered Here!

I got a crazy good deal on this elliptical. I found it on Craigslist. The lady bought it 3 years ago for $900 and she only used it for 1 year. She sold it to me for $150 and when we went to pick it up I think she was having buyers remorse for not selling it for more. Oh well! 10 pounds........see ya later!

These are wild strawberries that we have growing on the side of our house. I'm not sure if they are okay to eat, but they sure look pretty!




My garden! I love it. I've wanted one for a long time now, but apartment living doesn't really lend itself to tending a garden. This thing has everything...zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, strawberries, lettuce, beans, peas, watermelon, pumpkin, spinach, and onions. I can't wait! I love going out there everyday and finding something new that has peeked it's head out of the ground! It'll be so nice to not have to go to the store to buy vegetables---especially zucchini. I mean, who does that?!? Isn't it just supposed to appear in the back seat of your car or on your front door step?!?
